Webster Jones Taylor, Jr., 88, of Westminster, passed away on Tuesday, May 30, 2023, at Carroll Lutheran Village.  Born September 26, 1934 in Baltimore, Maryland, he was the son of the late Webster Jones Taylor, Sr. and Ruth Culver Taylor. Survived by his loving wife Marlene K. Taylor.

Before retiring he worked at Westinghouse/Northrop Grumman and was a 1952 graduate of Westminster High School. He volunteered for 20 years at Carroll Hospital Center and also volunteered at Carroll Lutheran Village. Webster had a passion for singing and enjoyed singing with The Barbershop Singers, Old Line Statesmans, a lot of choirs, schools and with his church community.  He was also a wonderful piano player. He loved baseball, especially the Orioles.

Besides his wife, he is survived by his daughters Charlotte Jean Taylor Payne and husband Bruce, Ruth Gardner and husband Bill and Mary E. Winkler and husband Ray; brother Bill M. Taylor and wife JoAnn; grandchildren Jessica Rothfolk, Jacob Gorham, Julie Shaon, Melanie Heckman and Will Gardner; 6 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. on Friday, June 2, 2023 at Fletcher Funeral & Cremation Services, 254 E. Main Street, Westminster. Interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Gardens in Finksburg.
