Harold Marvin Swisher, 86, of Jeffersonville, Indiana passed away on May 29, 2023 at his home. He was born on March 31, 1937 in Scott County, Indiana son of Marshall and Nolah (Luallen) Swisher. Harold retired from Louisville Times/ Courier Journal Newspaper in Louisville, Kentucky after 50 years of dedicated service and was a member of First Southern Baptist Church in Clarksville, Indiana. He was also in the National Guard for many years and enjoyed gardening, his flowers,( especially orchids) and spending time with his loving family.

In addition to his parents, Harold was preceded in death by his 4 siblings; Marshall, Cora, Lowell Swisher and Mabel Miner. He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Barbara (Lawrence) Swisher; son, Gregory Swisher; daughter, Dana Busby(Pat); along with 3 grandchildren, Dakota, Kaleb, Sydney Busby.

There will be a memorial visitation held on Thursday, June 8, 2023 from 10-1pm with service to follow at First Southern Baptist Church, 215 E. Ettels Ln, Clarksville, Indiana 47129.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to First Southern Baptist Church.
