Carol White, 87, of Madison, died May 27, 2023 at Bethel Nursing Home surrounded by her husband and four loving daughters.

Funeral services will be 10:30 AM on Friday, June 2nd at Madison United Methodist Church with Pastor Peggy Hanson officiating. Visitation will be 5-7 PM on Thursday at Rustand-Weiland Funeral Chapel and will continue one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery. 

Carol Janet Everson was born October 29, 1935 to Earl and Mildred (Passig) Everson in Bryant, South Dakota. She married Leland White on June 3, 1957. Carol attended Beadle State College and taught school in Madison for 28 years as a full-time elementary teacher, then later as a substitute.

Carol belonged to several organizations that were dear to her heart, including PEO, United Women of Faith, Retired Teachers, Entre Nous Book Club, Sunday School superintendent and teacher.

Carol is survived by her devoted husband, Leland, of almost 66 years, her four daughers: Pamela (Scott) Finck; Elizabeth (Ojars) Inveiss; Diane (Todd) Miller; Mary (Robert) Sullivan, 11 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.

Carol is preceded in death by her father and mother, Earl and Mildred Everson; her sisters, Joyce Worthen and Kay Juntunen.

Our mom will be remembered most for her kindness to all!
