Reece C. Sellers, Jr.
<p>Graveside services for Reece C. Sellers, Jr., age 87, will be held at 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, May 31, 2023, in Cadwell City Cemetery with Rev. Roswell Chapman officiating.</p><p><br></p><p>Mr. Sellers was born on January 12, 1936, in Dodge, County, Georgia to Reece Clayton Sellers, Sr. and Cornelia Walker Sellers. He served in the U.S. Army from 1953 to 1956. Reece worked for Oxford Manufacturing for 21 years and was owner of Reece’s Bait and Tackle for 28 years. He was an avid hunter and fisherman; and loved growing vegetables – especially tomatoes. He loved his sons and daughters-in-law, grandchildren and great grandchildren as well. Mr. Sellers passed away on May 29, 2023.</p><p><br></p><p>He is survived by his loving wife Carolyn Sellers; two sons Clayton (Karen) Sellers and Phillip (Nanci) Sellers; brother Johnny Earl (Gwen) Sellers; sister Martha (Billy) Daniel, 7 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.</p><p><br></p><p>The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 12:00 P.M. to 1:15 P.M. at the funeral home. The family are also meeting at the home of Phillip and Nanci Sellers, 1579 Capps Browning Road, Rentz, Georgia.</p><p><br></p><p>Honorary pallbearers will be Greg Roche, Greg Barwick, Chuck Shepard, Buddy Thigpen, Larry Kight and Jimmy Joyner.</p><p><br></p><p>Stanley Funeral home and Crematory/Dublin Chapel is in charge of the funeral arrangements.</p>Obituary
