Susan “Sue” (Walker) Fields, age 73 of Morrow, passed away Thursday May 25, 2023 after a seven year journey with breast cancer. Beloved wife of Barrett “Barry” Fields for 44 years and devoted mother of Janet (Jim) Gilchrist, Justin Fields, and Megan (Rob) Koch. Loving grandmother of Alec (Rachael) Gilchrist, Allison Gilchrist, Abigail Fields, Eleanor Fields, William Fields, Margaret Fields, Barrett “Bear” Koch and Wesley Koch. Her precious granddaughter Emerson “Emmie” Koch preceded her in death.

Sue was born on March 6, 1950 to the late Clifford and Florence Hill Walker and grew up on her family farm in Loveland. She was the baby of the family and loved to spend time with her older siblings. Sue was preceded in death by her brothers Clifford “Wes” Walker and Alvin Walker, and by her sister Bonnie Walker Vineyard. She is survived by her sisters Martha “Marty” Walker Bivens and Shelby Walker Gulliford.

Sue graduated from Little Miami High School in 1968. She then received her bachelor’s degree in education from Wilmington University, spending 33 years teaching first and third grades in Loveland City Schools. Sue was passionate about quilting, caring for her cats (as well as many dogs over the years), reading, trying new recipes, and family. She loved to volunteer her time with her church and took special pride in preparing fellowship meals and assisting in the ice cream socials.

There will be a private celebration of life at Bethel Murdoch Presbyterian Church.
