Helen Belly Obituary

Helen Belly (Nee Cook) was born on September 3, 1949 to Simon and Violet Cook. She was the eldest of 13 siblings. She was born in Onion Lake and resided there until her passing. Some of her favorite past times were playing Bingo, finding yard sales, visiting family, her relatives and friends also doing her word search puzzles.  She enjoyed travelling as well until it became too much for her.  She will be dearly missed by her best friend/sister Jean Wolfe they called each other 4-5 times a day and spent a lot of time together and were called the golden girls. 

She was predeceased by her parents Simon (1972), Violet (1993); her husband Thomas Belly (2014): her brothers Allen (1954), Lawrence (1980), Roddy (1992), Johnny (2022); her Son Willis (2009); grandsons Baby boy Cooke (1997) Brian Opissinow (2021) and her grand daughter Janice Cooke (2018)

She is survived by her children Evelyn, Marlene (Harry), Velma (Bennett), Anna (Lyle); and her granddaughter she raised like her daughter Gladys (Jason); Her adopted sons Al Whitstone and Grant Whitstone, Garnet Belly,and Gerald Belly; Her adopted daughters Alvina Poitras and Theresa Wolfe; Her step daughters Gail, Karen, Priscilla, Marcella, April and Bernadette. She had 20 grandchildren, 28 great children and 1 great great grandchild; Her sisters Madeline, Doris, Wendy (Kenny), Alice and Leona; Her brothers Wilson, Burton and Glen
