Steven Richard Tadych Obituary

Steven Richard Tadych, known affectionately as Steve, passed away peacefully from natural causes on May 29, 2023, in Miamisburg, Ohio. He was born on April 5, 1941, in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. Steve will be remembered as a funny, loving, and highly intelligent man who brought joy and laughter to those around him.


Steve is survived by his loving wife, Barbara Tadych of 62 years, and their four children, Chris (Liz), Colleen (Chip), Rob (Karin), and Shari. He was a devoted grandfather to Nicholas, Drew (Allie), Lauren, & Will Tadych, Gretchen & George Hochwalt, Jack & Ben Tadych, and Alex & Emily Hoskins. His family was a constant source of pride and happiness for him, and he will be dearly missed by all who knew him.


Steve went on to build a successful career at Appleton Papers, where he was employed for over 40 years. His dedication and hard work were evident throughout his tenure, and he was well-respected by his colleagues.


Steve's interests were diverse and engaging. As an Eagle Scout, he understood the value of hard work, commitment, and perseverance. In his retirement, he took pride in volunteering at the Air Force Museum in Fairborn, OH. He was an avid Green Bay Packer and Cincinnati Reds fan - never missing a game and always cheering on his beloved teams. Steve's love of animals, particularly his faithful companion labradors; Ashley, Millie, Erica, & Ruthie, was well known among his friends and family. These loyal pets brought him immense joy and companionship throughout his life.


A man of many talents and interests, Steve will be remembered for his sense of humor, love for his family, and unwavering intelligence. His presence will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him, but his memory will live on in the hearts of his loved ones.


In remembering Steve, let us celebrate the life he lived and the countless ways he touched the lives of those around him. His laughter, love, and wisdom will be cherished by all who knew him and serve as a lasting testament to the incredible man he was. May he Rest in Peace, Steve Tadych.


The family of Steve Tadych will begin receiving friends at 10AM Saturday June 3, 2023, at Bishop Liebold School (adjacent to St. Henry Church). The funeral service will follow at 11:00 AM at the church.
