Anita Ayo Duke

<p>Anita A. Duke, born January 12, 1961, Villaba, Leyte, Philippines. She passed away in her home in Mustang, OK May 26, 2023, after a long and painful struggle with pancreatic cancer. A resident of Mustang since 1995, she came here with her family when her husband was assigned to the Naval Communications Unit at TAFB.</p><p>Anita graduated from Holy Child High School in 1981. She met her husband Bob Duke in Manila, P.I. in June 1985 and married December 26, 1985. Shortly after Bob was assigned to a ship in Charleston, S.C. Several duty assignments followed including Rota, Spain, Sasebo, Japan and finally at TAFB in Oklahoma City.</p><p>Anita became a naturalized U.S. citizen May 28, 1999. She earned an Associate Degree in General Business Management and retired as a department manager at TAFB Exchange.</p><p>Anita is survived by her husband, Robert L. Duke, daughter Elizabeth J. Duke and son Keith W.M. Duke. Visitation will be held 1:00pm-8:00pm Tuesday May 30, 2023 at McNeil’s Funeral Service, Mustang, OK. Services will be held 2:00pm Wednesday May 31, 2023 at McNeil’s Funeral Service with interment following in the Mustang Cemetery.</p><p>All who knew her are welcome to attend.</p><p><br></p>
