Odessa Ormond aged 89 years, after a battle with cancer, passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by loved ones on Sunday, May 28, 2023.

Odessa was a loving and devoted grandmother, mother, sister, and friend to all whose lives she touched.

Odessa enjoyed fishing, country dancing with her husband (Edward Ormond, who preceded her in death), socializing with her friends, playing cards and dominos, and was an extremely talented seamstress as she designed highly personal and meaningful cross-stitch designs for those she loved. Most of all, she loved her family and friends and doted on her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be dearly missed and will remain forever in our hearts.

Odessa is survived by her sisters Dorothy Klander and Linda Bennett; her two children, Ronald Ormond and Cheryl Kramer; grandchildren, Jason Kramer, Rachel Bryant, Brian Ormond, and Steven Ormond; and 7 great-grandchildren.

A celebration of Odessa’s life will be held at Woodlawn Garden of Memories, 1101 Antoine Dr., Houston, TX 77055, on Friday, June 2, 2023, with visitation at 10am immediately followed by a service at 11am and graveside at 12pm. A small reception will take place at 1pm at Oaks Presbyterian Church, 1576 Chantilly Ln, Houston, TX 77018. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that remembrances be made in the form of contributions to the American Cancer Society.
