<p>Daneta Lynn Shoulders, age 66, of 5113 Kanawha Trail, Covington, Virginia turned the page to the next chapter Sunday, May 28, 2023 at The Woodlands Health and Rehab Center, Clifton Forge, Virginia.</p><p>She was born May 3, 1957 in Richwood, West Virginia to the late Arlie Emmitt Dooley and Mertie Ellen Beam. She was a press operator for Richwood News Leader, wife, mother, and friend. Daneta had a very uplifting personality with a love for children, animals, and people. Her fun-loving and upbeat personality was contagious and positively impacted the mood of everyone she was around. Daneta fancied herself as a wordsmith, constantly evolving due to her passion for reading, learning, and creative writing. </p><p>In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters; Freda Arbogast and Jackie Fletcher; a brother Mark Dooley and her good friend Susan Myers.</p><p>She is survived by her husband of 39 years Steve K. Shoulders of Covington; a daughter Savannah Shoulders of Covington and a son Steven A. Shoulders of Bedford.</p><p>In keeping with Daneta's style and sense of humor, it is appropriate to include the word 'plethora' in her obituary, it means alot. Also keeping with her wishes her body has been cremated. A memorial service will be held on Saturday June 3, 2023 at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge with Pastor Bill Gilliland Officiating. </p><p><br></p>
