Rosa Blanco Martinez passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, at Bridgeway Care and Rehabilitation Center in Bridgewater on May 28,2023 at the age of 92. She was born in West Virginia in 1930. She changed careers mid-life and earned a degree as a registered dental surgical assistant. She loved knitting, crocheting, ice skating and bowling. Her favorite pastime was spending quality time with her family—especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She was the loving wife of the late Luis Martinez. Surviving her are her daughter Angela Martinez Dantas and son-in-law Daniel A. Dantas, her grandchildren Daniel S. Dantas and Rebecca & Joseph Biland, and her great grandchildren Tabitha Eileen and Stevie Rose.

The wake for Rosa will be held on Thursday, June 1, 2023, from 6 - 8 pm at the Buyus Funeral Home, 426 Lafayette St., at Wilson, Ave., Newark, NJ 07105.

The funeral will be held on Friday, June 2nd at 9 am at the funeral home. Interment to follow at Ocean County Memorial Park in Toms River, NJ.
