Steve Coyle was born on February 9, 1951, to Vernon and Doris (Zugschwerdt) Coyle in Minot, ND.   He grew up in Henry, SD, surrounded by family and friends with his sisters, Rita and Sandra.   Steve graduated in 1970 from Henry High School and then Lake Area Technical Institute as an automotive technician.  He married LaVerna (Bernie) McGillivary on March 24, 1972, in Clark, SD.  They resided in Henry, SD, before moving to Watertown.   They had two children, Brenda and Brad.   Steve was employed with Old Home Bakery in Watertown for 30 years before it shut down.   He later began working for Codington County in various positions until he retired a few years later.
