On April 22nd, 1945, a beautiful soul was born in Okolona, Arkansas to Wiley and Christina Tidwell. She was the seventh child of the late Wiley and Christina Tidwell. She joined First Baptist Church of Okolona at an early age and attended faithfully until her health failed her. She attended Okolona Public Schools. She met the love of her life Manuel Hale, and they became one flesh on June 26th, 1963, and to this union they had five beautiful children that were born into the earth and realm who she unconditionally loved. She loved being a housewife and a mother. She loved cooking butter rolls, Icebox pies and banana pudding you name it she could cook it.

Her specialty was fried chicken, meatloaf, and spaghetti. Also, she loved music, her favorite song was There It Is by Tyrone Davis. She was hospitable to anyone who entered her presence, especially to those who passed on. She took care of her dad when his health started failing him.

On May 27th, 2023, at 10:38 am at Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock, Arkansas. She transitioned into eternal life. She leaves to cherish her five children, Carolyn Hale (Dewayne) of Little Rock, Arkansas. Manuel Dwayne Hale (Linda) of Little Rock, Arkansas. Gretal Hale-Thomas (Archie) of Malvern, Arkansas, Kay Smith (Charlie) of Okolona, Arkansas, and Victor Hale (Brandy) of North Little Rock, Arkansas and fifteen grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren.

Services are under the direction of Mitchell Funeral Home of Arkadelphia. Visitation will be Friday, June 9, 2023, at the funeral home from 12:00 noon- 6:00 P.M. with family hour from 5:00 P.M.- 6:00 P.M. The funeral will be Saturday, June 10, 2023, at First Baptist Church-Okolona in Okolona, AR at 1:00 P.M. The burial and final resting place will be in First Baptist Church-Okolona cemetery. 

She was preceded by death by her parents Wiley and Christine Tidwell and brother L.T. Tidwell, Donald Tidwell, and sisters Willie Jean Gatlin, Louise Jones, and Estelle Alexander. Also, she leaves to cherish her brothers Henry Clay Tidwell (Evelyn) of Flint Michigan, and Wiley Tidwell (Betty) of Los Angeles, California. As well as her two aunts Ruth Haynes of Los Angeles, California and Callie McDaniel of Flint Michigan, and host of nieces, nephews and cousins and friends.
