Elizabeth Ann (Groves) Koontz-Morris, 55 of Newburg, WV, passed away on Thursday, May 25, 2023 at JW Ruby Memorial Hospital. She was born on October 6, 1967 in Oakland, MD, daughter of the late Wilford “Harold” Blaine Groves and Mona Lee (Crowder) Groves. Elizabeth graduated from WVU with her Bachelors, and Tiffan University with her Masters Degree. She had worked at WVU Heart Institute, Nurse for Monongalia County Schools, and Mon General Hospital. Elizabeth loved painting, art, camping, fishing, riding on the side by side and four-wheeler and her four shepherd dogs. She is survived by her husband, Todd Emerson Morris, Newburg; one son, Dillon Koontz and Jordan Brick, Newburg; three brothers, Thomas “Tom” Edward Groves and Debra, Friendsville, MD,  Larry Eugene Groves, Glen Burnie, MD, Kenneth “Kenny” Blaine Groves and Ruth, Terra Alta; one sister, Mary Catherine Prout, Pine Grove, WV; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Don and Connie Morris, Newburg; father-in-law, Richard Sheets, Newburg; two brothers-in law, Larry Morris, Newburg, Brad Morris, and Rachel, Grafton; three sisters-in-law, Becky Field and Steve, Bridgeport, Lisa Renae (Morris) Swisher, Fellowsville, Icie Groves, Terra Alta; special nephew, Danny Groves and Jolene, Terra Alta; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Elizabeth was preceded in death by two brothers, William “Bill” Otis Groves, Joseph “Joe” Alan Groves; one niece, Laura “Kelly” Prout; mother-in-law, Mary (Uphold) Sheets; one sister-in-law, Lisa Renae Morris; two brothers-in-law, Alfred H Prout Jr and David Brian Swisher. Family and friends will be received at the Bolyard Funeral Home, 79 Morgantown Ave. Newburg, on Saturday, June 3, 2023 from 3-7 pm and Sunday, June 4, 2023 from 11:00 am until time of service at 1:00 pm. Interment will follow at  Oak Groves Cemetery, Terra Alta, with Pastor Jim Hammons officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to her Care Fund.
