Jeffrey Lynn Johnson Obituary

Jeffrey Lynn Johnson, 59, was born April 18, 1964, when all of the azaleas were in bloom in Pine Bluff, Arkansas. He departed his earthly home May 27, 2023, for his heavenly home to be reunited with family members, especially his grandmother, Bessie Rinehart. He was also preceded in death by his father, Floyd Sonny Johnson, all of Redfield, Arkansas.

He is survived by his mother, Linda Rinehart Johnson Banks of Hot Springs Village;  wife of 20 years Pamela Wiley Johnson of Mayflower; four children, Jesse Lee Johnson of Maumelle, Savanna Jade Johnson McJunkins of Lono, Haley Ann Johnson of North Little Rock, Nathaniel Jude Phillips of Marche, all Arkansas; two brothers, Cliff Johnson (Michele) of Hot Springs Village, Arkansas and LTC Todd Alex Johnson (Elena) of Wilson Barracks, Germany; step mother Eileen Johnson of Redfield; step sisters Susie, Katie and Leigh Ann; five grandchildren, Lily Johnson, Karson and Nevaeh Danner and Harleigh and Shaw McJunkins.

Jeff’s boyhood home was Redfield, Arkansas where he attended elementary and graduated in 1982 from White Hall High School. His junior high school years were at Delta Junction, Alaska where he attended school at Fort Greely and participated in wrestling and football. He liked to ice fish, snowshoe, trap, and hunt. Jeff was gifted with his hands and naturally could fix most anything. While in high school he attended classes at the Arkansas Arts Center in Little Rock where he learned stained glass construction, glass blowing, wood working and turning, drawing and pottery.

In his early work years, he worked construction tying rebar and more, and house construction, but his lifetime love was cars. He was a self-taught mechanic with his own shop in Mayflower, Johnson Auto Repair, adding a salvage yard and wrecker service. Jeff was a good Samaritan, stopping to help anyone in need and was a Baptist.
