Larry Alan Childs, 75, of 80 West Morris Hill Road, Covington died Friday, May 26, 2023 at his residence. Larry was born in Flint, Michigan on June 22, 1947 a son of the late Robert Lawrence and Loretha Lockrey Childs. He was a retired Conductor with CSX Transportation. Larry loved riding his Harley Davidson Motorcycle and caring for his Ford Mustang.

He is survived by his wife Kathy Elmore Childs of Covington and they were especially proud of the matching tattoos of Kid Rock they received during their engagement; a daughter Maryanne Neal of Pennsylvania; a sister Sue Ellen Chaplin and husband Ronald of Davidson, Michigan; 2 grandchildren Anna and Leslie Neal; and a number of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother Robert Childs, Jr., son Ronald Gregory Robbins and a daughter Christine T. Robbins.

In keeping with his wishes, the body was cremated and a Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
