It is with heartfelt sadness that we announce the passing of Clarence Wilson Collier, at the age of 74, on Friday, May 26, 2023 at the Northside Community Guest Home.

Born in North Sydney on August 17, 1948, Clarence was the son of the late Wilson and Catherine (Ramsay) Collier of Burnt Islands, Newfoundland. Clarence was an electrician by trade, a member of the union Local IBEW 1852.  

Clarence is survived by his children – Sondra Lahey (Allan), Tanya Seajay (Nadav), and Shawn Collier (Dhanushka); his siblings – Roy (Helen) Collier of Kentville, Gordon Collier (Peggy MacLean) of Lyons Brook, Stella (Richard) Darby of Tennessee, Alice (Bill) Chaisson and Kathleen (Albert) Billard, both of Dartmouth. He is also survived by grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, Clarence was predeceased by his sister, Eileen MacDonald, his brother, Brian Collier, and an infant brother, Ross Collier.

The family is eternally grateful to the staff and residents of the Northside Community Guest Home for all of their love and care while Clarence was living there, enjoying many a card game and passing time together in front of the television. Thank you for all that you have done for him.

A visitation for Clarence will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. on Wednesday, May 31 with a funeral service following at 11 a.m. in the W.J. Dooley Funeral Home Chapel at 107 Pleasant Street, North Sydney, with President Bob Silverstein of the Mormon Church officiating.
