George William Gilbert of Berwick, NB passed away peacefully at the Sussex Health Center on May 27, 2023 at the age of 94 years. George was born in Young's Cove Road, NB on March 12, 1929 the son of the late John and Mabel (Cole) Gilbert.

George is survived by his wife Emily (Barton-Hargreaves); Kimberly Barton, Bruce (Karen) Barton, Tawnni Barton (Chad Solomon), Caleb Barton (Jayce Wickborn), Edward (Fabienne) McKay and Philip (Pei) McKay, Martin (Krista) McKay and Cheryl McKay , James McKay, Helen McKay; sister Ester Ferris / Great-grandchildren, Carson and Thayowyn Solomon, Sophia and William McKay, Campbell, Maddie, and Nora McKay.

Predeceased by his parents, 1st wife Joyce Gilbert , 2nd wife Geraldine Gilbert / Lloyd Gilbert, Floyd Farris, and Norman McKay.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, May 31, 2023 at 2:00 PM at the Wesley United Church Cemetery on the Shortcut Rd Berwick NB.
