Roy W. Cohen, 81, of Lakewood, New Jersey passed away on Friday, May 26, 2023, at Encompass Health Rehab Center, Toms River, New Jersey. Originally born in the Bronx, Roy moved to Marine Park, Brooklyn and resided there over 30 years before moving to Lakewood in 2002. He served in the army from 1959 to 1962. He worked as an Associate Director for Bear Stearns for over 25 years before retiring in 2001. Roy enjoyed trips to Atlantic City along with being a lifelong fan of baseball, especially the New York Yankees. More than that he loved spending time with his family and friends. Surviving is his wife Fran for more than 56 years. Roy was the proud father of three sons Ronald, who unfortunately passed away in 2014, Paul and Joseph. His pride and joy were his two grandchildren Nicholas, 24 and Diana, 18 who were raised by Ronald and his loving wife Paula. Visitation is Thursday, 2-4 and 7-9 pm June 1st at Oliverie Funeral Home, 2925 Ridgeway Road Manchester. Funeral service is Friday, 11:00 AM on June 2nd at the funeral home with interment to follow at Brigadier Gen William C Doyle NJ Veterans Cemetery, 350 Province Line Road, Wrightstown, NJ 08562.
