<p>Samir Tanios, born on January 28,1958 in Chekka, Lebanon to Georgette and Semaan Tanios, passed away on May 26, 2023 in Houston, Texas. </p><p><br></p><p>Samir was preceded in death by his mother and father. He is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Martha; and daughter, Leila Tanios. Samir is also survived by his four brothers, Antoine Tanios, and Jospeh Tanios of Chekka, Lebanon, and George Tanios and Pierre Tanios of Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He has many nieces and nephews spread throughout the world who dearly adored him.</p><p><br></p><p>Samir attended LSU and earned a degree in Industrial Engineering. His career was primarily in information technology in the oil and gas industry. Samir enjoyed traveling with his immediate and extended family and assisting those in need.</p><p><br></p><p>Samir's Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at St. Theresa Catholic Church in Memorial Park, 6622 Haskell Street in Houston, Texas on May 30, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. For those who wish to participate, a recitation of the Holy Rosary, led by Jennifer Mata, will begin at 12:30 p.m., prior to the Mass.</p><p><br></p><p>Pallbearers will be Antoine Tanios, Joseph Tanios, Pierre Tanios, Lowell Potter, Barry Guillory and Hai Vu. A reception at St. Theresa will follow directly after the mass .</p><p><br></p><p>Rite of committal will occur at a later date in Baton Rouge, LA.</p><p><br></p><p>In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to https://curemeso.org/donate/donate-online/.</p>
