Obituary

Mary Elizabeth Kaczorek, of Almond, peacefully transitioned to the light on May 23, 2023, at Aspirus Stevens Point Hospital, at the age of 80.

Mary was born July 14, 1942 in Chicago, IL; daughter of William and Pearl (Eggerman) Gallery. She grew up in the area and attended local schools. In early adulthood, she found herself moving to the Stevens Point area at the request of her dear friend, Bernie.

Following high school, she entered the workforce, working at River Pines and Gary’s Restaurant; now known as Gary Nation’s. In the early 1970's, Mary met Scott Kaczorek. While the two finally married on February 12, 2002, they spent decades committed to each other and building a live together. They enjoyed 12 blissful years as husband and wife, until Scott’s passing on July 19, 2014.

Mary had many hobbies; crocheting, knitting, crossword puzzles, puzzles, crafts, cooking, baking, and most notably, spending time with her great-grandchildren and her favorite pooch, Mouse. While Mary’s laughter, trash talking, and presence will be missed, her family finds comfort knowing she is reunited and embraced in love by the Spirit and her loved ones who passed before her.

Mary is survived by her daughter, Tammy Stuczynski (Significant other Mark Banker); her grandchildren, Megan (Curtis) Alleyne and their three children Evan, C.J., and Aleiah; and her grandson, Taylor Stuczynski and his daughter, Lydia. She is further survived by her honorary granddaughters, Vanessa and Taylor Hamus; and her best friend of over 60 years, Bernadine Bowman.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, William and Pearl Gallery; and a brother, William Gallery.

The family would like to thank the staff at Aspirus Stevens Point; especially Diane, Caitlyn, Amy and Lisa; and her doctors for the care given to her.

Have a burger with the works and an ice cream cone in honor of this fierce lady. We know she is always with us!
