Jane Holcombe Obituary

Jane Holcombe, 78, of Burnet passed away on June 16, 2019, surrounded by her loving family and favorite country tunes. She was born on December 30, 1940, to Marshall and Afton (Harless) Parker in Levelland, Texas.

She was Memaw – a very beloved and irreplaceable part of the Holcombe and Parker families. Her family was her life. Anytime she was surrounded by family, she was as happy as a lark. With a generous heart, she dedicated her time and talents to those around her. She was a homemaker who brought much warmth and love to her home.

Jane was a longtime member of the Order of the Eastern Star with an active membership in the Kingsland Chapter 1118.

On her favorite days, she was playing at casinos across Oklahoma, and winning. Comanche Red River Casino was at the top of her list, but she had a lifetime membership to visit any of the casinos in the state. She entertained her intelligent mind with game shows such as, The Price is Right, Family Feud, Wheel of Fortune, and, of course, Who Wants to Be a Millionaire.

Memaw will be forever remembered for her warmth, spunk, intelligence and love for country music. She has been reunited at last with her husband Donald and they are undoubtedly two-stepping to the tune of an old Hank Williams song.

Jane leaves behind her sons Henry Holcombe and wife Jennifer of Hoover Valley, Texas, Robert Bingle and wife Jane of Hamilton, Texas, and Donald McFarland and wife Pam of Chandler, Oklahoma; grandchildren Ethan, Hunter, Donald, and Corrina Holcombe, Allison and Bobby Bingle, Donald McFarland, Jr., and Trevor McFarland; great grandchildren M.J. Nead III, Remington Bingle, and Kelly Bingle; sisters Barbara Harless of Hoover Valley, Texas, Sarah Parker, Marsha Parker, and Tina Parker; brothers Phill Parker of Ledbetter, Texas, Henry Parker of Buchanan Dam, Texas, Gary Parker, Poncho Parker, Roland Parker, and Hank Parker; nieces Ruth Ann Bailey, Heather Parker, Cindy Burleson, Teresa Martin, Patricia Long, and Brandy Parker; nephews Roger Parker, Robert Parker, Alex Parker, Ricky Parker, Jackie Parker, and Henry Gardner along with numerous great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents Marshall and Afton Parker; brothers Dale Parker and Elmer Parker; son Kelly Bingle; first husband Robert Bingle; and second husband and love of her life Donald Louis Holcombe.
