Patricia Wright Gillum Forgus of Tulsa, Oklahoma was called home to be with the Lord Tuesday, December 10, 2013. Born to Claude L. Wright and Brooksey Nelle Smith Wright of Tulsa, Oklahoma and sister of Lloyd and Glenn. Pat is the wife of George Forgus and the mother of four: James Grant Gillum of San Antonio, Kelley Elizabeth Wallace of Austin, Virginia Gayle Gillum Quiroga of Austin and John Barton Gillum Jr. of Seattle. In 1962, Pat moved to Houston, Texas, where she reared four children with her first husband John Gillum. After the passing of John, Pat was remarried to George Forgus with whom she has shared 32 wonderful years. Pats upbeat personality blessed many during her years as an administrative assistant at Vastar and BP. By far, Pats most cherished role in life was that of mother, grandmother and friend. Pats warm and loving character enveloped many as she welcomed each into her family through her laughter, grace and care. Pat loved serving her community through singing in her church choir, mentoring young mothers in MOPS and participating in Cursillo and bible studies at Bannockburn Baptist Church, First Evangelical Free Church and Christ Evangelical Presbyterian Church, Houston. Pats joyous spirit will live on through her brothers, Lloyd (Debbie) Wright and Glenn (Judy) Wright, husband, George Forgus, and her four children, Grant (Kim) Gillum, Kelley (Bill) Wallace, Ginger (Jorge) Quiroga and Bart Gillum and her nine grandchildren: Jimmie, Jeffrey, Jack, Preston, Garrett, Vanessa, Nina, Adriana and CristianA Service to celebrate Pats life will be held at Bannockburn Baptist Church 7100 Brodie Ln, Austin TX 78745 on Tuesday, December 17, 2013, at 2:30.
