Vernon "Vern" R. Johnson, age 74, passed away on May 25, 2023. Born January 28, 1949 in Bryant Branch Hi Hat, KY to the late Levi and Lola Johnson. He is preceded in death by brother, Roger Johnson Sr. Vern is survived by sons, Scott (Alyssa) Johnson and Keith (Chrissy) Johnson; grandchildren, Marinda Johnson (Zach Reese), Brendon Johnson, Aaron (Kylee) Johnson, Josh (Samantha) Matthews, and Taylor (Britney) McCown; several great grandchildren, one niece, nephews, cousins as well as other relatives and friends. Much of the time Vern could be found either playing poker or working on cars. Visitation will be held Friday, June 2nd from 10 am until the time of funeral service at 12 noon at O. R. Woodyard Co. South Chapel 1346 S. High St. Interment to follow at Obetz Cemetery.
