<p>Gary Richard Gesner</p><p>With great sadness, we announce the sudden passing of Gary Richard Gesner on Sunday, May 14, 2023. Gary was born in Bear River, Nova Scotia on March 2, 1942 to parents Aileen and Malcolm Gesner. Gary proudly served in the Canadian Armed Services from 1963 to retirement as Major in 1995.</p><p>We have lost a gentle, humble and caring man. Gary’s wife Karen, stepdaughters Pattee, Jodi and husband Jeff, grandson Jordan and partner Stephanie will greatly mourn and miss him. Saddened by his passing are Gary’s brother Joe and wife Dale, nephew Dustin and partner Kim, his Aunt Peigi, Uncle Lawrence, cousins Carol Dawn and husband Gary Harris, second cousins Heather and Karen, their families, and extended family members.</p><p>Gary was known in his neighbourhood as a supportive and helpful gentleman, always interested in everyone’s experiences. Gary loved spending time at the Lowville Golf Club where he volunteered and played for many years. His golfing buddies and the Lowville staff will miss his wonderful sense of humor and calm useful presence. Friends in the Burlington area will remember Gary for his pleasant interactions with them. Gary’s legacy of kindness will be honoured as we remember him as a hero of all that is good and great in our world.</p><p>We sincerely thank the many nurses and doctors at Joe Brant Hospital in Burlington who cared for Gary during his brief hospitalization.</p><p>A Celebration of Gary’s Life will be held at LOWVILLE GOLF CLUB, 2662 Brittania Rd., Burlington on Sunday, July 9, 2023 starting at 4 p.m.</p><p>Please sign the Tribute Wall.</p>
