James “Reyn” Nunn, born January 24, 1990, passed from this Earth on May 23, 2023. He was a loving husband, father, son, grandson, uncle, and friend.

“Reyn” as he was called, was raised in Chesapeake, VA, by his mother, Shannon Brown, and his stepfather, Eric Ashbey, along with his sister Victoria and brother Justin. He grew up hardheaded but loving. He jumped from job to job until he found his passion in pest control while simultaneously starting his own lawn care business.

Reyn fell in love with his wife, Elaine, in May of 2013 and they had two amazing children. Jacksyn was born in June of 2014 and Everleigh was born in July of 2017. Reyn gained an awesome daughter, Justice Desautell from his union with Elaine. He had a beautiful family and loved being a husband and father.

Reyn loved to spend time with his family. He also loved showing off his garden while learning new ways to smoke meats then call the rest of the family to brag about how good it tasted. He didn’t lie, it was always good! He began streaming PC and Xbox games, a passion that he shared with his son. Gaming provided great bonding time for the two of them. The only hobby no one really

liked was his collection of dip bottles, but we loved him anyway.

Reyn was predeceased by his father, David Nunn, his grandfather, Scotty Nunn, grandmother Jean Nunn, and his beloved great-grandmother Thelma “Mamaw” McDuffie.

The funeral service will be held 2:00 pm Monday, May 29, 2023 at Oman Funeral Home. The visitation will be held 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm prior to the service.
