Frank Clay Parsons, aged 80, of Cleveland, Tennessee, passed away on May 24, 2023, at Tennova Cleveland, Tennessee. He was born on February 10, 1943, in Ridley Park, Pennsylvania, to Frank and Mary (Copper) Parsons.

Frank was a devout Christian and moved to Cleveland from Asheville, North Carolina, in 1992. He had a zest for life and enjoyed various hobbies, including hunting, fishing, and visiting the casino. He loved traveling and cherished the time spent with his family. Frank served in the United States Army and retired honorably. He was a true patriot who loved his country. Additionally, he found joy in cooking, adored his dogs, and had a deep appreciation for the ocean and the mountains. Frank was a proud member of the American Legion and the VFW.


Frank is survived by his loving wife, Linda Parsons, and his children: Frank Parsons III and his wife Rosalba Parsons, Clayton Parsons and his wife Debbie Parsons, Amanda Parsons-Puckett and her husband Mark Puckett, and Tracey Basher. He will also be dearly remembered by his several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.


He was preceded in death by his father, Frank Parsons Sr., and mother, Mary Copper Parsons. Frank mourned the loss of his twin sister, Georgia Parsons-Goslee, and his son, William "Toby" Parsons.


The family will hold a private memorial to celebrate Frank's life at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to Companion Funeral and Cremation Service, Cleveland Chapel. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to the American Lung Association, a cause that held significance for Frank.
