Donna Cook

<p>Donna Godfrey Cook, 101, of Idaho Falls, passed away May 24, 2023, at her home. </p><p>Donna was born January 30, 1922, in Ucon, Idaho, to Josiah Godfrey and Gunda Boletta Peterson Godfrey. She grew up and attended schools in Ucon, Woodville, and Idaho Falls. </p><p>On March 3, 1942, Donna married James Clifford Cook in Las Vegas, Nevada. James and Donna made their home in Idaho Falls, Idaho, where they raised their family. Donna was a wonderful wife and mother and took great care of her family. </p><p>Donna was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints . She loved spending time in the outdoors, especially time spent camping and fishing. She always had a beautiful garden and enjoyed sewing. </p><p>Donna is survived by her loving daughter, Shirley Cook of Idaho Falls, ID; grandchildren Joren (Myori) of San Francisco, Anjanette Cook of Seattle, and Gavin (Joanna) Cook, of Honolulu; and great grandchildren, Ponder and Arlo. </p><p>She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, daughter, Linda Joan Cook, son, Gary Clifford Cook, and 12 brothers and sisters. </p><p>Services will be held at 11:00 on Saturday, June 3, 2023, at Rose Hill Cemetery. </p><p>&nbsp; </p>

Donna was the mom of Gary Cook, high school basketball hero and best friend to my late husband, Larry Godfrey. She had a long and good life and I know she's remembered by many. I was privileged to meet her. Shirley, my condolences on her passing.
