<p>Barbara Janet Franklin, 78, of Cape Girardeau, MO passed away on May 23, 2023, at St Francis Hospital in Cape Girardeau, Missouri.<br> Barbara was born on July 29, 1944, to Willna and Virgie M Morrison (Green) in Poplar Bluff, MO, Missouri.<br> Barbara has many special memories. She wrote a short story for Tennessee Ernie Ford, which was published, and wrote poems some of which were published. She was in several beauty pageants for many years and was also Miss Poplar Bluff. She loved pets. She was also close to her father. She loved to sing and wanted to be a professional singer but gave it up to be a mother to her children. She loved her three children, five grandchildren and her two great-grandchildren. She also loved sitting outside listening to the birds sing and looking at the flowers in the garden.&nbsp; Barbara also served her country in the United States Air Force for five years in the 70's and 80's.&nbsp;<br> Barbara is survived by Children Tony Perry, Lisa Hester (Robert), and Robin Muniz (Byron) Grandchildren Ashlyn Edwards, Brittney Abner (Josh), Courtney Scoggins, Connor Scoggins, and Cassidy Scoggins, With two great grandchildren little angel Kennedy Baker and Beau Abner.<br> Barbara was preceded in death by Mother Virgie M Morrison (Green), Father Willna A Morrison, and sister Joann Ebel.<br> Visitation will be on 5-31-23 at 10:00-11:00 AM.&nbsp; A graveside service will begin at 11:45 am at the Fairdealing Cemetery, with Bill Pennington officiating.&nbsp; There will be full military honors. </p><p>&nbsp; </p>
