Denver was born May 18, 1945 in Livingston Montana to his parents Lyle & Viola (Estebrook) Hinman joining his older brother Lyle Leon. Denver’s Grandma Alida came to live with Lyle & the boys to help take care of them. Denver had very fond memories of her loving care.

Denver’s father Lyle married Opal (Stiefel) Hayes in 1952. Joining the family were Jerry, Jim, & Diane Hayes. A few years later Dollie Hinman was born & joined the family.

The family lived in Livingston Montana until 1957 when his father’s work took them to Anaconda, Montana. Living on a ranch 10 miles outside of town, with lots of adventures, chores, milking cows, feeding livestock, chickens & gathering eggs. Putting up hay, riding horses, hunting, fishing, & swimming at the lake. Many family & friends came to visit & enjoyed the summers with more work & adventures. Lots of good food, fresh eggs, milk, cream, butter & ice cream. Denver loved his food.

Denver worked on area ranches in the summer & graduated high school in Anaconda, Montana. Denver & his brother Jerry enlisted in the United States Marine Corps in 1963. Denver was enlisted from 1963 to 1967, Rank Corporal E4. Denver was an Aircraft Mechanic. He loved airplanes, and had an opportunity to fly them too. He was stationed at Marine Corps Air Station El Toro in California. Eventually being deployed to Okinawa Japan during the Vietnam War. Denver received many accreditations during his service with the USMC. Receiving a Good Conduct Medal for his service in the Marine Corps. After his enlistment ended in the USMC, Denver went onto work in the Oil Industry in Long Beach California for some time.

Finally deciding to return home to Livingston Montana, where he met & married Debbie Pellegreen in 1972. They had two daughters Marea Pellegreen & Tammy Hinman. Eventually separating.

Denver began working for Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad in Engineering as a Machinist. Denver had many titles & accomplishments during his time with the railroad, eventually retiring after well over 30 years. He was a dedicated man & the hardest worker you’d ever meet.

Denver met Darlene Walker while he was working in Mandan, North Dakota. They became great friends & companions. They eventually moved to Billings, Montana where they enjoyed their lives together. Doing whatever they wanted on any given day. They enjoyed their lives to the fullest, traveling, camping, riding four wheelers, being with family & friends. They were always there for one another. Denver took care of Darlene when she became ill, he was by her side to the very end.

Denver was an Amazing Man, Dad & Best friend. You could always count on him. He'd give you the best advice. Was always there to help & get you through. Our lives will never be the same without him. His memory lives on in the lives he has touched. This isn't goodbye, it's until we meet again. Love you Dad Always & Forever.
