Helen Eleanor (Goldbach) Arrick Obituary

Helen Eleanor (Goldbach) Arrick, 90, of Evansville, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, May 25, 2023 at her home.


Helen was born in Evansville, Indiana on November 30, 1932 to the late Alfred and Margaret (Rose) Goldbach. She worked at Shane Manufacturing for 12 years and later at T.J. Maxx for 9 years. Helen was a lifetime member of St. Anthony Catholic Church. She enjoyed playing clabber, cooking, camping, gardening, going to the horse races and the casino. She was one who loved to travel, including Florida, Dominican Republic, California, Cancun and Rome. Helen was a loving mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. She will be remembered for her love, strength, kindness and sense of humor. Helen had a heart of gold and was loved by many.


Helen is survived by her sons, Gregory Kent Arrick of San Pedro, CA and Ronald Keith Arrick (Traci) of Columbus, GA; daughter-in-law, Anne Arrick of Evansville, IN; sister, Virginia Chase of Evansville, IN; brothers, Charles Goldbach (JoAnn) of Evansville, IN and Thomas Goldbach (Linda) of Mt. Vernon, IN; grandchildren, Heather Moesner (Rusty), Amber Arrick, Amy Neth (Chris), Laura Arrick (Mike), Brittany Welch (Travis), Steven Arrick, Justin Arrick, Samantha Bell (Donzeil), Nicholas Ellington and Emily Brady; great grandchildren, Andrew Moesner (Jill), Emma Moesner, Luka Lambert, Mya Lambert, Anson Lambert, Devon Neth, Leigha Neth, Aubrie Durham, Allie Durham, Keaton Arrick, Kinsley Winegar, Kierslynn Welch, Kaslyn Welch, Kamri Welch, Za'kye Coles, Bryson Bell, Rian Bell and Emerson Bell; great-great granddaughter, Sophia Moesner; and sisters-in-law, Eileen Goldbach and Mary Lou Davis. Many nieces and nephews also survive.


Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Arrick; daughter, Laura Ann Ellington; son, Mark A. Arrick; her parents; sister, Emily Cannon and her husband, Ernie; brothers, Lawrence Goldbach, Maurice Goldbach and Paul Goldbach; grandsons, Benjamin Arrick and Aaron Arrick.


A Mass of the Resurrection will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, June 2, 2023 at All Saints Parish St. Anthony Church Campus, 704 N. First Ave., Evansville, IN 47710. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.


Friends may visit from 2:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Thursday, June 1, 2023 at Browning Funeral Home, 738 Diamond Ave., Evansville, IN 47711 and again from 9:00 am until Mass time on Friday at the church.


Memorial contributions may be made to All Saints Parish St. Anthony Church Campus or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
