<p>Loretta Francis (O’Hern) Kelly, 88, born in Mason City, IA passed from cancer on May 23, 2023. </p><p>She was preceded in death by her husband Jim, and parents John and Marguerite. She and Jim were active parishioners of the Church of the Risen Savior after moving to Burnsville two decades ago from Saint Paul where they lived for 33 years. She is survived by her elder sister Mary Agnes Wieczorek, cherished nieces and nephews, sons Kevin (Beth) and Seán, grandchildren Rachel and Grey. </p><p>After graduating from the College of Saint Benedict, she taught primary school in Saint Louis Park and Minneapolis. While teaching in Minneapolis she earned her MEd from the U of MN and worked with special ed. students. She formally retired after five decades of teaching but volunteered for two more decades as a tutor and teaching assistant in Burnsville. </p><p>We will all remember her kindness, generosity, graciousness, and tenacity. </p><p>• Visitation Thursday, June 1, 5-7 p.m. </p><p>&nbsp;&nbsp;O'Halloran and Murphy in Saint Paul. </p><p>• Visitation Friday, June 2, 10:00-10:45 a.m. </p><p>&nbsp;&nbsp;Church of the Risen Savior, Burnsville </p><p>• Funeral Mass Friday, June 2, 11:00 a.m. </p><p>&nbsp;&nbsp;Church of the Risen Savior, Burnsville </p><p>Donations can be made in her name to the College of Saint Benedict (Collegeville, MN) or the Church of the Risen Savior (Burnsville, MN.) </p>

She was preceded in death by her husband Jim, and parents John and Marguerite.
