<p>PARISOTTO, Danilo Emilio - In loving memory of Danilo Parisotto, age 91 years, who passed away peacefully in the early hours of Wednesday May 24th. Beloved husband for 56 years of Elide (Santi) Parisotto predeceased. Loving father of Maurizio (“Moe” wife Jennifer) of Sudbury and Ron (wife Lilian) of Oro Valley, Arizona. Cherished Nonno of Robert (wife Alexandria) of Toronto, Lisa (husband Gregg Fabris) of Sudbury and Mario of Sudbury; beloved father-in-law to Michelle Caron. Proud Bisnonno (great-grandfather) of Joe and Emma Fabris. Dear son of Biondo and Genoveffa (Conte) Parisotto, both predeceased. Dear brother of Lorenzo predeceased (wife Zita) of Sudbury, Danila predeceased (husband Angelo Dovigi predeceased) of Sault Ste. Marie, Maria predeceased (husband Luigi Stocco) of Toronto, Ilario (wife Teresina), Mario predeceased (wife Cecilia), Marcello (wife Rita), Liliana (husband Luigi Troietto), Lucia (husband Giulio Cavallin), all of Italy, and predeceased by an infant brother Pietro. Dear son-in-law of Corrado and Annetta (Moretto) Santi both predeceased. Dear brother-in-law of Bruna predeceased (husband Leonio Mazzonetto predeceased), Paolo Santi predeceased (wife Valentina), Mirella (husband Attilio Scappin predeceased), and Angelino Santi (predeceased), all of Italy. He will be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews in Canada and Italy. </p><p><br></p><p>Born in Castello di Godego, Treviso, Italy, on January 20th, 1932, Danilo immigrated to Canada in 1954. In 1959, Danilo married the love of his life Elide and settled on Caruso Street where he became a part of the vibrant Coniston Italian community. He was a longstanding member of the Club Allegri where he enjoyed bowling in winter and playing bocce in summer. Danilo enjoyed the simple things in life: his family, good food and good wine. He was an avid winemaker, gardener and had a unique passion for raising canaries and listening to their songs. He was a wonderful husband and father. The arrival of his grandchildren filled him with great joy and he participated in their lives to the fullest extent possible. His grandchildren reciprocated his love - they adored their Nonno. He had the good fortune of knowing his great-grandchildren, which he considered a unique gift. Danilo developed many friendships at work, first at Noront Steel and during his 30-year career at Inco. He retired in 1991 and enjoyed his retirement to the fullest. He felt each day on this earth was a gift. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends.</p><p><br></p><p>Special thanks to Dr. Killian De Blacam for the special attention and care he gave to Danilo over many years.</p><p><br></p><p>In lieu of flowers, donations to the Health Sciences North Foundation or Maison McCulloch Hospice would be appreciated.</p><p>Resting at the Jackson &amp; Barnard Funeral Home, 233 Larch Street, Sudbury.
