Thomas P. Mckeever Obituary

Thomas P. McKeever, 74, of Warren, PA, passed away at his residence unexpectedly due to a recent illness on Thursday, May 25, 2023.

Tom was born on July 29, 1948, in Wheeling, WV, the son of the late Robert J. and Ida Marie (Bonenberger) McKeever. He graduated high school from Wheeling Central Catholic High School, and then graduated from West Virginia University, where he was a member of Kappa Alpha Fraternity.

Tom and his wife, Paula, moved to Warren in 1976, where he began his career as the Executive Director at the Warren County Chamber of Commerce. He later became an Executive Vice President, serving on the Board of Directors, at Blair Corporation from which he retired in 2005. Through the years, Tom remained active and served as an Executive Board member for the Warren County Chamber of Commerce until his passing.

He was a member of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, the Elks Lodge # 223, and a former member of the Conewango Valley Country Club, where he enjoyed golfing for many years. Tom was a member of West Virginia University Alumni Association, and a strong supporter of the Mountaineer sports boosters. Those who knew him admired his talent and love for the game of golf. He also enjoyed trap and clay shooting at Kalbfus Rod and Gun Club and spent many hours outdoors and countless trips with close friends bird hunting.

Tom was a devoted husband of 46 years, a proud father, and a loyal friend to many. Most importantly, he treasured his role as “Pap Pap” to his four grandchildren.

Tom is survived by his wife Paula C. (Clark) McKeever; daughters, Sarah Ignatius and husband Paul Jr. of Dubois, PA, and Mary Pugliese and husband Frankie of Hoboken, NJ; grandchildren, Charlotte Grace and Ian Thomas Ignatius, and Emily Claire and Ryan Andrew Pugliese; brother, Robert L. McKeever of Wheeling, WV; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Tom was preceded in death by his sister, Bonnie M. Roberts in 1989.
