<p>Michael Burton Sayers passed away May 25, 2023, in his Louisville, Ohio home surrounded by his family after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born on October 2nd, 1952, in Bowling Green, Kentucky. He was a proud husband, father, and US Army veteran. </p><p>Mike is survived by his wife of 35 years, Cynthia (Mogus), sons Bradley and David (partner Caitlin Connelly), daughter Samantha (Anthony) NeCastro, mother-in-law Mary Lou Armstrong, and his cat Ellie. He is predeceased by his father Elmo Burton and father-in-law Joseph Mogus. </p><p>Mike was a member of Louisville Christian Church. &nbsp;He was an avid dart thrower which is how he met his wife in 1985. Always the competitor, he loved playing games with his friends &amp; family, as well as going to garage sales and collecting bottle openers. </p><p>A constant example of hard work, love, commitment, and resilience he will be dearly missed by his loved ones who are grateful and blessed for the impact he had and continues to have on their lives. </p><p>A service to celebrate Mikes life will be held at 6pm on Friday June 2 at Stier-Israel Funeral Home in Louisville with Pastor Tony Wolfe officiating. The family will receive friends from 4-6pm Friday at the funeral home.
