Audrey A. Gayle - Sunrise January 20, 1952 – Sunset May 18, 2023

It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Audrey Gayle following a long illness. Born in Jamaica, Audrey was raised in England where she studied and discovered her passion for the performing arts where she performed in a number of plays at the Hall Green Little Theatre in Birmingham. At age 19 Audrey embarked on a new chapter in her life immigrating to Canada as a newlywed with the desire to further her studies.

For over 30 years, Audrey served as a devoted public servant with the Ontario Government. Her dedication, commitment and contributions made a significant impact on those she worked with. Audrey’s kind hearted nature and positivity created an atmosphere of warmth and compassion that allowed her to be connected to so many people that loved her. Beyond her professional achievements, Audrey loved sports, particularly tennis she delighted in the thrill of the game and found joy in watching various tournaments.

Audrey lived a life filled with love, kindness and unwavering dedication to her family and friends. Above all, Audrey was a devoted mother and cherished grandmother. Her love knew no bounds and she poured her heart and soul into nurturing her son and granddaughter. As we bid farewell to Audrey we celebrate the remarkable life she lived and the profound impact she had on our lives. Her memory will forever be cherished by her loving family. Audrey is survived by Son Jonathan, Granddaughter Kyla, Sisters Joy and Julia. Brother Audney , brother in law Thornton, nephews Matthew and Adam, nieces Jamila , Deina ,Sophia and Maryam.

A visitation will be held on Thursday June 1, 2023 at Chapel Ridge Funeral Home, 8911 Woodbine Avenue, Markham, Ontario Canada From 6:00pm-9:00pm EST

A funeral service to honour and celebrate Audrey’s life will be held on June 2, 2023 at Chapel Ridge Funeral Home, 8911 Woodbine Avenue, Markham, Ontario, Canada at 11:00am EST
