Susan Gonzalez

Susan Gonzalez, age 73, passed away on May 25, 2023, in Fort Walton Beach, Florida. Susan was born on December 28, 1949, in Brooklyn, New York to her loving parents, Michael and Millie Viola Macchia.  She and her husband, Jose Juan Gonzalez, resided in Fort Walton Beach.

Susan is survived by her loving husband, Joe “Jose” Gonzalez; sisters, Barbie and her husband, Joseph Dressler, and Donna Robertson; sisters-in-law, Loretta Macchia and Jo Ann Macchia; nephews, Joseph Dressler, Michael Dressler, Christopher Macchia and Michael Macchia; nieces, Danielle Coll and Lisa Macchia; great nephews, Matthew, Nicholas and Ryan Dressler and brother-in-law, Rey Gonzalez.

Susan was preceded in death by her brothers, Carmine “Butch” Macchia and Michael Macchia; mother, Millie Macchia; mother-in-law, Helen Carattini and brother-in-law, Allan Robertson.

Liturgy of the Word will take place, Saturday, May 27, 2023, 11:00 a.m. at Davis Watkins Funeral Home, 113 NE Racetrack Road, Fort Walton Beach, Florida 32547.  A visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m.  Services will be held by Celebrant, Father Joseph McShane.  Graveside will follow at Beal Memorial Cemetery in Fort Walton Beach.
