Mary Jane Brand
<p>On May 25, 2023 Mary Jane (Edwards) Brand passed peacefully at her home surrounded by her children. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Gunther Karl Brand, Sr., her parents William R. and Harriet S. (Jackson) Edwards and her brother, Randolph J. “Jack” Edwards. She is survived by her loving children; Gunther K. Brand, Jr., and his longtime partner Deanna, Karen J. Graening and her husband Mike Peek, Randolph K. Brand and his wife Suzan, Katherine J. Brand Dahle and her husband Gary, Kimberly A. Morstein and her husband Jerry and Mary Jane Chiacchio and her husband Dan, her cherished grandchildren; Rachael Herrera and her husband Chris, Lindsay A. Williams, Charlie M. Graening and his wife Caitlin, Kourtney J. Graziani and her husband Boris, Madison A. Dahle, Domenick J., Nikolas W., and Dylan K. Chiacchio and her great grandchildren; Gunther M., Jackson A., and Noah J. Graziani, Palmer M. Graening and Kaya J. Herrera.</p><p><br></p><p>Mrs. Brand lived a long and fulfilling life. First and foremost she was a wife and mother and raising her children was her greatest accomplishment and what she was most proud of. In her spare time she was a songwriter and a published author of 2 fiction novels and a children's book. She also wrote for the Howard County Times. She was an entrepreneur, having started the first greeting card company for pets in the 1980's. She leaves behind a long legacy for her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren to cherish.</p><p><br></p><p>A Memorial Service will be held Saturday June 24th at 11 a.m. at Holy Nativity Lutheran Church, 1200 Linden Ave., Arbutus, MD 21227. Interment private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Mrs. Brand's name may be directed to Holy Nativity at the above address.</p>April 16, 1933 - May 25, 202304/16/193305/25/2023
