<p>Helen F. Jones, 82, of Parsons, died at 1:04 A.M., Friday, May 26, 2023 in the emergency room at Labette Health.</p><p><br></p><p>She was born June 17, 1940 at Erie, a daughter of Duane Frances and Margaret Louise (Thurston) Cloke. At a young age she moved with her family to Parsons where she was raised and attended the Labette County Community High School. She then worked at the Fred Ronald’s Company.</p><p><br></p><p>On September 28, 1957 she was united in marriage to Marvin R. Jones at Miami, OK. The couple moved to Topeka in 1963 and returned to Parsons six years later. They then moved back to Topeka in 1971 and resided there until returning to Parsons in 1989.</p><p><br></p><p>Helen was a member of the First Assembly of God Church at Topeka and attended the Church of God at Parsons. She enjoyed bowling and played softball in her early years and also in her young adulthood.</p><p><br></p><p>Survivors include: her husband- Marvin R. Jones, of the home; two sons – Marvin Scott Jones, Of Dennison, KS, Dennis R. Jones, and his wife, Michelle, of rural Oswego, KS; one daughter – Melissa Gomez, and her husband, Sam, of Topeka, KS; ten grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; one brother – Jim Cloke, and his wife, Rita, of Thayer, KS. She was preceded in death by three brothers – Charles, Carl and Jerry Cloke; and one still-born daughter – Marva Louise Jones.</p><p><br></p><p>Memorial services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Friday, June 2, 2023 at the Carson-Wall Funeral Home. Inurnment will be in Springhill Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 9:00 until 5:00 Thursday and from 9:00 until service time Friday.
