<p><br></p><p>Fernanda Henriques Loureiro, 97, passed away peacefully, on Friday, May 26, 2023 at Cornell Care and Rehab Center in Union, NJ. She was born in Girabolhos, Seia, Portugal, and emigrated to the United States in on December 27, 1984 and resided in the Ironbound Section of Newark.</p><p><br></p><p>Wife of Serafim Goncalves Abel; devoted and loving mother of Maria Isabel Faria, Maria A. Correia and Eduardo Henriques Goncalves and his wife Maria Aparecida Goncalves of Brazil; Fernanda is predeceased by a brother and 3 sisters; dear grandmother of Arsonval G. Faria and his wife Elisabete, Stephanie Sophia Correia, Edwards Steven Correia and Fernanda Braz Henriques Goncalves and her husband Tiago; great-grandmother of Lavinia Ladislau Faria.</p><p><br></p><p>The wake for Fernanda will be held on Wednesday, May 31st from 6-8 pm at the Buyus Funeral Home 426 Lafayette St., at Wilson Ave., Newark, NJ 07105.
