Scott Allen Shumaker, 49, of Kingsland, Texas passed away February 26, 2020. Scott was born to Jerry and Joyce (Zeller) Shumaker on October 16, 1970 in Watertown, New York. Scott spent most of his working years as a truck driver for Swift Trucking. He also spent some years as a furniture assembly specialist for the Ethan Allen Corporation, and a firefighter in his home state of New York. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gaming, coloring and playing the drums. He loved wildlife, and spending time in the outdoors, he had a great appreciation for mother nature. His favorite pastime was spending time with his friends and family, who affectionately dubbed him as Bubbles or Scooter, and “talking to Bob”. He is survived by his daughter, Karyline Shumaker of Syracuse, New York, brother Jerry Lee Shumaker and girlfriend Lisa Wehbe, of Kingsland, Texas, sister, Candy Debrunner and husband Steve of Kingsland, Texas, grandchildren, Shaylee and Robert, nieces and nephews, Aaron Shumaker, Trina Purkey, Jazzmine Shumaker, Reagan Shumaker, and Alex Shumaker, great nieces and nephews, Jaden, Kamden, Destanee, Jaxson, Damion, Abel, Noah, and Ava. Numerous extended family and friends also survive. Scott is preceded in death by his parents, Jerry and Joyce Shumaker. The family will gather to celebrate Scott’s life and share stories 1:00 P.M.
