<p>A funeral service celebrating the life of Glenda L. (Ashenhart) Crawmer, age 83, of Newark, will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 30, at The Newark Chapel of Henderson-Van Atta-Stickle Funeral &amp; Cremation Service, 59 N. Fifth Street, Newark. Burial will follow in Hanover Cemetery. Friends may attend visitation from 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m. at the funeral home. </p><p><br></p><p>Glenda passed away on May 25, 2023, at Middleton Senior Living in Granville. She was born March 27, 1940, in Sistersville, West Virginia, to the late Glen and Geneva (McCullough) Ashenhart.</p><p><br></p><p>Glenda loved flower gardening and spending time with her grandchildren. In addition to being a mother, Glenda was a beautician, and a teller for East Liverpool City Loan. </p><p><br></p><p>She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Cynthia S. and Ronald L. Iden of Pickerington; a granddaughter, Ashlee (Bryan) McAfee of Chesterville; two great-grandchildren, Brandon McAfee (U.S. Airforce) and Brylee McAfee; a sister, Connie Miller; and a brother Delano McCullough. </p><p><br></p><p>In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward E. Crawmer; two brothers, Charles McCullough and Robert McCullough; and a sister, Louise McCullough.</p><p><br></p><p>Memorial contributions can be made in Glenda’s name to The Alzheimer's Association, Central Ohio Chapter, 1379 Dublin Road, Columbus Ohio, 43215.</p><p><br></p><p>The Newark Chapel of Henderson-Van Atta-Stickle Funeral and Cremation Service is assisting the family with arrangements.</p><p><br></p>

I worked with Glenda at the credit bureau in Newark many years ago. She cut my hair . I think I still have the picture. She was a sweet lady always full of energy. Sorry for your loss.
