Leonard Joseph Curle, passed away peacefully in Grandview on the morning of May 25, 2023. Leonard, known as Len by all, was born in San Clara on March 19, 1944. Len was the oldest of 7 children born to Edward and Alvina. Len was predeceased by his parents and his siblings, Laverne, Geraldine, Terry and Murray.
Len will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Sharon, children Blair (Jessica), Tyson and Donnan (B.J.), grandchildren Mason, Draeton, Drake, Blake, Avery and Madeline, sister Dorothy (Willie) and brother Robert (Martha), and his many nephews, nieces, and friends.
Len was a jack of all trades, spending his younger years exploring various occupations in different areas of the province. He took much pride in everything he did, from the roads he built, to the vehicles he fixed, to the family he raised. He was often found in the yard or the shop tinkering on vehicles or fixing something that might be broken, or helping the neighbors do the same. He treasured his summers camping at Child’s Lake with his family and friends. He loved being out on the lake with a fishing rod in hand, going out hunting, or doing anything where he could be outdoors.
He enjoyed sharing stories of his adventures with his family and friends. We’ve all heard about his childhood berry picking, his walk to school uphill both ways, and the fish that got away. Len lived a great life full of love and adventure and will be remembered for his sense of humor, adventurous spirit and ability to fix anything. He will be missed by many but his memories will live within us for years to come.
