Raymond P. Cosner Sr., 71, of Mount Vernon passed away on Thursday, May 25, 2023 in the Central Ohio Hospice Unit at Licking Memorial Hospital in Newark. He was born on September 16, 1951 in Columbus to the late Robert H. and Betty Marie (Phillips) Cosner.

Ray retired from Union Tools in Delaware, where he was a log buyer. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, boating, Nascar and Ohio State football.

Ray is survived by his wife, Patricia A. “Patty” (Bunner) Cosner whom he married on November 30, 1983; children, Tina Cosner of Mount Vernon, Raymond (Laurie) Cosner Jr. of Howard, Sherri McGough of Mount Vernon and Missy (Scott) Lewis of Butler; 5 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren; brothers, Bob Cosner and Ed Cosner of Columbus; and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, June 1, 2023 in Brandon Cemetery with Pastor Marvin Haught officiating.
