<p>Wanda Elaine Collins, 75, passed away Wednesday May 24, 2023 in Concord, NC. She was born in Concord on March 30, 1948 but raised in Pineville, NC to the late Blondie Louise Baskins. She was raised by her late grandparents, Clarence and Lizzy Baskins. She is proceeded in death by her sister Barbara Stroud.</p><p><br></p><p>Wanda leaves behind by her ex-husband but very close, loving friend, Johnny Roosevelt Collins; her children Debbie Bennett, Kathy and her husband Mike Lowry, Chad and his wife Amanda Collins, and Carrie Boan. Her grandchildren Brandon and his wife Michelle Bennett, Justin Lowry, Ashleigh Lowry, Chelsea and her husband Daine Anderson, Autumn and her husband Brayden Smith, Jasmine Collins, Hallie Collins, Austin Rubin, and Carson Rubin. Her great-grandchildren Logan Schrimpsher, Skyler Lowry, Tatius Collins-Lohman, and one on the way, extended family and friends. </p><p><br></p><p>Wanda had a deep love for wrestling, Elvis Presley, and John Wayne. She loved teaching her grandchildren how to play card games where only certain rules applied them and never her. She won every single time. Growing up she learned to be a homemaker and developed a love for gardening. She loved sitting with her grandparents and talking for hours and hours. She was a true southern and would never miss a meal if grits or liver mush were being served. When she told stories she never left out a single detail, she truly put you in the moment.
