Charles Francis Lidstone Jr.

<p>Charles F. Lidstone, Jr., “Chuck” passed away at his home Wednesday, May 18, 2023. He was born in Galveston on October 18, 1957, to Charles F. Lidstone, Sr. and Frances Bertolino Lidstone. The oldest of five siblings, Chuck has now taken his seat at the “Great Family Reunion” in Heaven.</p><p><br></p><p>Chuck worked for The Sealy &amp; Smith Foundation in Galveston and recently retired after 40+ years of devoted service.</p><p><br></p><p>Chuck, a BOI, was an avid fisherman and shrimper who loved the island, the Seawall, the gulf waters, his family and his dogs, Biskit and</p><p>Gravy.</p><p><br></p><p>He is preceded in death by his beloved parents, Charlie and Fran.</p><p><br></p><p>He will be greatly missed by his brothers David Lidstone, Mike Lidstone, and his wife Karen, and sisters, Phyllis Lidstone, Rena Lidstone, and her husband Jonathan Hale. He is also survived by his niece/Goddaughter Lindsey Lidstone, and her fiance’ Jerry Amaya, and his nephews Maxwell Charles Lidstone and Nicholas Lidstone Bowers.</p><p>Chuck had an extensive family of cousins who loved and cherished him. He will be fondly remembered by all in so many ways – but will especially be remembered as our “Chuckie Baby.”</p><p><br></p><p>The family wishes to extend sincere thanks to our family and friends who cared deeply for Chuck.</p><p><br></p><p>A memorial service will be held by his family at a later date.</p><p><br></p><p>If you wish to remember Chuck, please consider making a donation in his memory to the Galveston Island Humane Society at 6814 Broadway, Galveston, Texas 77554. www.galvestonhumane.org</p><p><br></p><p><br></p>

Chuck was such an amazing man and helpful coworker with us at UTMB. He would always say hi and make conversation when you saw him walk by. I don't ever think I ever saw him without a smile on his face. He will be incredibly missed.
