Ethel E. White Kerwood, 81, of Brilliant, OH, passed away Thursday May 25, 2023 at home.

She was born December 7, 1941 in Wheeling, WV, a daughter of the late Augustus B. “AB” and Ada D. (Dickson) White. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband William F. Kerwood; four brothers, Conrad, Ronald “Klondike”, Terry and Joel White; and three sisters, Lois Martino, Carole Roland and Janet Matthews.

Ethel was a shoe salesman at the former Denmark Department Store in Steubenville, OH. She also worked at the former Gram’s Kitchen in Brilliant and the former Jaggin Around in Steubenville. Ethel was a member of the Harmony United Methodist Church; graduated from Brilliant High School in 1961; used to bowl in a league; and was in the PTA when her daughter Amber was in school.

Surviving are her daughter, Amber Ellis and her wife, Brooklyn Skylar of Brilliant, OH; a granddaughter, Britanie Oliver of Brilliant, OH; a brother, Joseph “Jody” White of Brilliant, OH; and a sister, Dolores Harvey of Michigan.

There will be a luncheon to celebrate her life at the Harmony Methodist Church, 2119 Commercial St., Mingo Junction, OH on Monday June 5, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. with words of remembrance by Pastor Sam Davis. Private burial at New Alexandria Cemetery.

Arrangements were entrusted to Wheeler Funeral Home, Brilliant.
