Bernice "Bobbie" Simmons, 90, of Sunrise Beach, Texas passed away on December 11, 2013. She was born to John J. and Fredericka Peters in Caldwell, Texas on August 20, 1923. Bobbie was a homemaker, loving and precious person. She was a member of St. Charles Catholic Church in Kingsland, Texas, attended Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church in Sunrise Beach, Texas, member of the Republican Women's Club, and was on the altar society in Midland, Texas. Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law, Bill O. and Pam Simmons, Jr. of Midland, Texas, Paul D. and Kandi Simmons of Sunrise Beach, Texas, two granddaughters, four great grandchildren, brother, George M. Peters of Midland, Texas, sister, Clara Holloman of San Angelo, Texas, ten nieces also survive. Bobbie was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Bill O. Simmons, Sr., Brother, James S. Peters, sisters, Earlene Peters-Mills and Ida Peters-Marshall. Visitations will be held at Putnam Funeral Home on Wednesday, December 18 from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. with a Rosary said at 7:00 p.m. The Liturgy will be held at St. Charles Catholic Church in Kingsland, Texas on Thursday, December 19 at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow on Friday, December 20, at 10:00 a.m. at the St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery, Stanton, Texas.
