Donald Raymond Pavelko
<p>The beloved Donald “Donnie” Raymond Pavelko, 71, of Ravenswood, unexpectedly went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, May 6, 2023, at Jackson General Hospital in Ripley. </p><p><br></p><p>He was born Jan. 21, 1952, in Morgantown, to the late John Pavelko and Rosella Day Pavelko.</p><p><br></p><p>He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Marty Given and his devoted daughters Kristen (Christopher) Azzaro of Morgantown, and Chloie Pavelko of Ravenswood.</p><p><br></p><p>He is also survived by his brother Gary (Vickie) Pavelko, and his sisters Barbara Sue (Larry) Allen and Shirlene Pavelko, half brothers, John Fitzgerald Pavelko and Eric Michael Pavelko; stepsister, Betsy Edmond, as well as many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, along with his loyal feline companions “Squeaky” and “Little Girl.”</p><p><br></p><p>In addition to his parents Donnie is preceded in death by his son Joey Given, his brothers Robert S Pavelko, John D Pavelko; stepbrother, Craig Edmond; and half-sister Patricia Strakal.</p><p><br></p><p>Donnie was a very accomplished contractor/stone mason. His career spanned over 50 years and his beautiful work can be seen from Morgantown to Florida for many generations to come. </p><p><br></p><p>In addition to his successful career, Donnie was also a great family man. He loved spending time with his daughters and other family members. He was an avid West Virginia sports fan. He cherished his relationship with Marty. Most of all, Donnie was a devoted lover of Jesus and enjoyed spreading the Word to everyone.
