Miguel "Mike" Pardo Obituary

Mike Pardo, 58, of Nampa, Idaho, peacefully passed away surrounded by his loving family on May 17, 2023.

Mike, born in Caldwell, Idaho, was the eldest of five children to Jesus and Alvina Pardo.

Growing up in the Canyon County area, Mike had a passion for sports, particularly soccer and baseball. He excelled in athletics and even lettered in baseball as a freshman at Vallivue High School. Mike's competitive spirit led him to become a founding member of the Low Sensation Car Club (1986-1991), which organized fundraisers to provide Christmas gifts for underprivileged children and participated in various community service activities. In 1984, he enrolled at Boise State University, pursuing a degree in communications, where he met his future spouse, Lupe Godina.

Mike and Lupe exchanged vows in July of 1989, and they started their life together in an apartment in Caldwell. Mike dedicated his career to working with children, beginning with the Idaho Migrant Council, and later transitioning to the Oregon Child Development Coalition. In recent years, he held several positions before joining the team at Amazon in Nampa.

Beyond his professional life, Mike found joy in the great outdoors. He spent countless hours tending to his meticulously maintained yard and cherished the camaraderie with his neighbors. He earned the nickname "Mr. Miyagi" for his skill and dedication. Fishing trips with his family brought him immense happiness, and he was known as the life of the party—someone who loved to joke around and create a fun atmosphere. Mike's caring and helpful nature knew no bounds, as he would readily drop everything to lend a hand to anyone in need. His strong faith as a devout Catholic guided his actions and inspired those around him. He was genuinely blessed and deeply loved by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Mike is survived by his beloved wife of 33 years, Lupe, their son Anthony (Ale) Pardo, and his beautiful granddaughter, Averi. He is also survived by his siblings, Veronica Perez (Nicanor), Norma Munoz (Ramiro), Rosa, and Jesus II. Additionally, Mike and Lupe had the honor of being godparents to eight cherished individuals. He is preceded in death by his grandparents Francisco and Genoveva Pardo, as well as Amador and Juanita Aguilar.
